Thumbprint Hearts

Don't let your littlest Valentine's feel left out of all valentine crafting and gifting.  Grandma and grandpa, and daddy too, are sure to love this sweet little momento made by their tiniest Valentine.  These thumbprint hearts are super easy and quick to make!

What You'll Need:

*Crayola Model Magic in White. Why we love it-  Model Magic does NOT dry hard, but instead stays soft.   We chose ours in white, but it comes in a variety of colors.  We purchased a larger box containing (4) 8 oz packages.
*Heart shaped cookie cutter
*Rolling pin

Optional Supplies:
*Paints in assorted pastel colors- we  found ours at Walmart and really liked the way the gloss ones turned out (see the pink heart above).
*Paint brushes

Step 1:   Knead your Model Magic until smooth.  Roll out and use your cookie cutter to cut out a heart.

Step 2:  Take your tiny love's little thumb and press it firmly into the dough at a slight angel.  Turn your dough slightly and press again to form a heart.

Isn't this precious!!!!

Step 3:  Allow to dry completely for at least 24-36 hours.
Step 4: (optional)  Paint as desired!

That's it!  Easy peasy!  You are done!  Don't forget to write your sweetie's name and age on the back.
